ANNE McGRATH, as a youngster, camped with the Girl Scouts in the Adirondacks. Later she served as a camp staff member in various capacities, particularly as an Outdoor Trainer for the Scouts. From these experiences her interest in and love for the outdoor world developed and grew.
Mrs. McGrath earned a B.A. in zoology at Connecticut College. She also has attended workshops in nature photography at the Doscher Country School of Photography in Woodstock, VT.
In addition to processing and color-printing her own work, Mrs. McGrath enjoys canoeing, swimming, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and reading.
Mrs. McGrath raised three children with her late husband, Joseph. She lives in Niantic, CT and Schroon Lake, NY.
JOANNE TREFFS was born in Long Island, New York. She and her family moved to the Schroon Lake area when she was 10 years old. This was the beginning of her life-long love, and appreciation, for the Adirondacks and all the beauty and peace of the wilderness.
