|
At the top of a smooth stem, this plant bears a tight cluster of swollen, white flowers, tinged with crimson or pink at the tips. Each individual flower, with the upper lip arching over the hairy lower one, resembles a turtle’s head. The lance-shaped leaves, 3-6” long, are paired, short-stalked and sharp-toothed.
